This Saturday, IGDA Rochester had its first event in the form of a barbecue in a nearby public park for developers to get to know each other, enjoy some finely grilled food and bathe in what little sunlight Rochester still gets. We were a little concerned at what kind of turnout we would have (it rained a fair bit the day before, and RSVP requests were sent out only a couple days beforehand), but it ended up being a successful first event. Some developers from a local studio stopped by to hang out with us, and the weather was good enough to enjoy a few games of KanJam. IGDA Rochester has gotten off to a good start, and we plan to keep up the pace as best we can.
Thanks again for everyone who came out!
